If you look over my slice 'o' cyberspace and think to yourself, "Dear Lord -- what kind of goofy chick would like this shit?" you've come to the right place. This little section is pretty much self-explanatory: here you'll find a small gloss-over as to who I am.

I'm a 26-year-old chick from the wilds of PA. And growing up in the country, it's left an indelible impact on me. While I can be girly-girl, I also retain a tomboy aspect, result of growing up with a bunch of mountain boys.

I'm a country girl but I do expand my horizons outside of that realm. This is what separates me from the true Redneck packs so I can't say I'm a dyed-in-the-wool good ol' girl because some of my interests, behavior and tastes definitely suggest different.

I'm a down-to-earth and laid back kind person and am not the biggest fan of drama. My personality has been described as being boisterious by one of my friends because I do have a good sense of humor and am fun to hang around. I also tend to speak my mind a lot of times because if I have an opinion, I'm the type who will express it.

One major fault I have is I swear too much, and I'm very aware of it. But I do curb my language around kids, the more conservative and religious folks in my family, and at work and school. It's getting better, though.

Things I like:  

-Communication

-People who walk to the beat of their own drummer

-Real Men (and that doesn't include you macho-wannabe, guido, smoke-blowing types either). Ah, real men are the shit, I tell ya. *dreamy sigh*

-Tattoos. Nope, have none of my own but I love seeing ink on people that has a story and especially when they'll tell you about it.

-Get-togethers with people I dig. I can be a social creature at times.

-Motorcycles.

-Hanging out with a select group of wild 'n' crazy guys and gals -- they know who they are...

-Sheetz- Three letters can sum up Sheetz's greatness: MTOs; I rarely buy gas there but stop in at least once a week for an MTO. MTOs are Made - To- Order subs that kick ass and are only $4.99 after 4 pm. I also have a weakness for their Code Red slushies.

-Wal-Mart- I seriously don't know how I'd survive without this place. My adoration of the local Wal-Mart SuperCenter is notorious.

-Macs- been a Apple loyalist since 1983 (which is since I was five for those of you trying to compute).

 

  Things that grate on my nerves:

-Major egos, extreme vanity, and major materialism.

-People who rest on their laurels too much.

-Flirting (which is a natural thing) that crosses the border into blatant overkill.

-Women who give the word "bitch" a bad name.

-Whining.

-People who shamelessly make out in public- this is beyond tacky.

-Hoochie mamas, rats, skanks, 711ers (part of the local lexicon)- whatever you want to call them.

-Crazy drivers, especially the ones who think you're the menace to the highway.

-Guys who can't take women who are independent, opinionated, and educated. Yes, guys like this still exist, amazingly enough.

 

 

TV Shows: I really don't watch much, but there are a few things I try to catch. Sports can hook me, even if it's just to see who's in the lead. I adore British comedies like 'Are You Being Served?'. I also like PBS and documentaries on channels like History Channel International or Discovery Channel. And I also like 'Chappelle's Show' and 'Reno 911' on Comedy Central.

Movies: If I have to pick my all-time favorite movies, Amadeus has a slight head above the rest. Other than that, my picks would be: Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Birdcage, The Blues Brothers, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (reminds me of our not-so Norman Rockwell holidays here), and Beauty and the Beast from Disney. Really odd pics there but what can I say?

Adult Beverages: I'm a social drinker, which means I don't mind having one or two while I'm out but I usually don't drink otherwise. As for my beverage of choice, it's wine, especially the sweeter ones like Niagra and sangria. I also drink frou-frou, sissy mixed drinks. And on New Year's, I do partake of the Jim Beam Black bottle with the boys. :) But I won't touch beer other than the occasional sip of Yuengling.
